Deputy Arrested for Stealing More Than 400 Pain Pills
BENTON, Ark. (AP) — Authorities say a sheriff’s deputy in Saline County was arrested on suspicion of taking more than 400 pain pills from a home in Alexander.
Authorities say Deputy Paul Babbitt was arrested Wednesday on charges of theft of property and possession of a prescription drug without a prescription. The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that Babbitt posted bond shortly after he was booked in the jail.
Authorities did not know if he had an attorney.
