DELAWARE COUNTY, PA – A former cop is accused of stealing thousands from a Delaware County little league.
Former Bethel Township cop John Rapp allegedly used his position as treasurer of the Chichester Baseball League to steal $13,000 from 2010 to 2011, sources told NBC10’s Nefertiti Jaquez.
Rapp, 53, faces six counts including theft and receiving stolen property when he turns himself in, according to court records.
The Garnet Valley man allegedly used a league credit card more than 25 times. They say he used the card at a Renaissance festival, local casinos and even various area ATMs, sources said.
Jaquez stopped by Rapp’s home to try and get comment but the only thing she got was a woman, possibly a family member, zooming away from the home in her car.
Sources say that because of the investigation Rapp quit his job as a Bethel Township cop. They also say Rapp is expected to surrender to authorities Thursday or Friday.
