Ex Cop Pleads Guilty To Sending Sexually Explicit Material To An Undercover Cop He Thought Was A 14 Year Old Girl

From TIMESUNION.COM

NEW YORK — A former Troy police officer pleaded guilty to sending sexually explicit material over the Internet to an undercover New York City cop.

Queens County District Attorney Richard Brown says 53-year-old former Sgt. Patrick Rosney of Rensselaer pleaded guilty Thursday to first-degree attempted dissemination of indecent material to a minor.

Rosney retired after 26 years on the job following his arrest in June for sending images over the Internet to someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl. He is expected to be sentenced on May 1 to five years’ probation and a $5,000 fine. He will also have to complete a sex offender program and register as a sex offender with the state.

A lawyer for Rosney did not immediately return a call for comment.

PT – This sick corrupt cop is only going to get probation and a fine??
